GreenStream is a content inspection technology that provides full inspection of a continuously arriving stream of contents, scanning and releasing at regular intervals to lower network latency exponentially.
When a security system is deployed into a network, end users typically encounter a slower experience. The perceived time between requesting and receiving data will be longer than retrieving it directly, especially for larger data sizes. For networks that are already experiencing stability issues, this latency will push these issues over the boundary of usability and tolerance.

GreenStream Benefits
GreenStream continuously scans all data received up to that point as a whole and streams it to the end-user devices at each instance of the configured time interval. In Figure 1, the data scanned and received between 0 and 2 has already been released to its destination.
GreenStream provides the following advantages:
- Reduces the network latency introduced by a security system
- Automatically adjusts to network speed by using a configured time interval as opposed to a configured data chunk size
- Full context scans without sacrificing detection accuracy, especially when combating malware that spans across a large portion of content
