Wedge Networks Inc. Launches Managed Service Provider Release of its Wedge Absolute Real-time Protection™ Platform (Full Release)

WedgeARP Version 2.6 offers much-requested support for its award-winning Real-time Threat Prevention suite for Service Providers

16 November 2021 – Smart City Expo and World Congress 2021 – BARCELONA, Spain: Wedge Networks Inc. (Wedge), a global leader in software defined Orchestrated Real-time Threat Prevention, is pleased to announce its upcoming Managed Service Provider Version of the latest WedgARP™ V2.6 release, which was designed to meet the demands of Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). This new release fulfills the feature requirements that MSPs have been demanding, including: 1. Service automation for self-management and provisioning, 2. Service application areas to encompass a variety of organizations (from Enterprises to Smart Cities and everything in-between) and catering to expanded service delivery models (supporting hybrid services such as on-premises enforcement and cloud managed to all-cloud enforced and managed), and 3. Secure “remote” manageability.

With WedgeARP v2.6, which now offers multi-tenancy and multi-zone management, additional Web Threat Intelligence, and Zero-Trust Secure Edge vCPE support, MSPs are provided with three key benefits:
1. Customers can now self-provision and self-manage the services that they require for their existing operational environments.
2. MSPs can access much more efficient resource utilization, which allows for both aggregation of services from a shared infrastructure as well as support for hybrid service delivery and users are now enabled with complete on-cloud service enforcement and management to more cost conscious on-premises enforcement and cloud management delivery; for those organizations where egress cost savings are required.
3. Secure remote manageability for the platform is provided through leading-edge, post-quantum safe VPN technology.

As with all Wedge solutions, support is provided for the new generation of networks; especially those powered by 5G / Edge deployments where latency requirements are aggressive (such as in the case of 5G self-driving and autonomous vehicles).

With these key new features, Managed Service Providers (MSPs) will be able to support their customers who may have multiple independent tenants working out of multiple zones and network segments. For MSPs, this means that they can now enable and manage multi-dimensional environments and the myriad of orchestrated security services for tenants quickly and easily; and at reduced cost.

With the ability for customers to now self-manage the services that they want, this greatly lowers the overhead and management cost for MSPs and now allows them to quickly recruit a variety of new customers who can then pick and choose the services that they want and then manage them on their own. With customers having many different types of networks and with many in growth mode, the new multi-tenancy and multi-zone features allows MSPs to quickly scale up and scale down these services as required. As well, with many organizations operating as distributed enterprises, these new features introduce a whole new level of management efficiency, allowing Network / IT Teams to quickly add new tenants and zones as needed and manage the different security services that are required by each.

"We are very pleased and excited to announce the new functionalities that the Wedge Team have been working towards in this release.” said Dr. Hongwen Zhang, Wedge CEO & CTO and Co-Founder. “WedgeARP v2.6 is the intersection of three realities. These are that: 1. Security must be provided in real-time, hence the need for real-time threat prevention, 2. Security should be delivered using MSPs, hence WedgeARP enabling MSPs to rapidly deploy real-time threat prevention to serve new customers, and 3. Services must be able to support the low latency requirements of the latest 5G networks. While we have been providing real-time threat prevention and orchestrated security services through our WedgeARP™ platform, our MSP customers had been anxiously requesting multi-tenancy and multi-zone capabilities so that they could offer these services at a more granular level. This new MSP release of the WedgeARP™ now fulfills these functionalities.”

Wedge continues to form strategic partners with Managed Service Providers globally, with a focus on rapidly enabling real-time security as a service through these partners. The many new features included in WedgeARP™ V 2.6 cater specifically to these MSP partners and will allow them to bring on new customers at an accelerated pace. Enabling these partners to offer industry-best security services and adding a new dimension to their ease of deployment and management of these customers.
